Talking about entrepreneurship involves the education system in Indonesia, whereas the students are still given well-cooked material, not raw one. We all can see how students are dependent to the teachers and government in getting the knowledge. If only there is an opposite condition, it happens only in big cities.
Entrepreneurship is a condition which someone feels confident, dares to take risks, builds relationship easily, and has plans. An entrepreneur has the quality of a hunter, he/she focuses on the prey, without fear, with complete equipment.
To save Indonesia from poverty, the World Bank said that there should be 2% of the populace who work as entrepreneur. However, we have only 0,18% this year.
As teachers we have the responsibility to increase the number through renewed education system by changing the teaching strategies from behavioral to constructive ones. We can also use the Ma'rifat way to anchor critical thinking among students through class discussion or self-contemplation. That way student will get the materials and make their own 'cake' by themselves.
Students should be encouraged by giving them the understanding that there is no absolute truth as Socrates had said: if someone feels that he has got to the end of the conclusion, he is absolutely mistaken.
